Plasma Fibroblast Clarkson

This is the one thing we want you fully prepared for before you book. The plasma tool creates a grid of tiny dark dots across the treated area. These aren't wounds in the traditional sense, but they are visible, and they look like small carbon spots straight after treatment. Over the following days, the area swells a little, the dots darken further, and then they scab and flake off, generally over about a week. Your skin underneath is pink and fresh once the flakes clear, but you do need to plan around this. It's not a treatment you'd have the week of an event or important photos. We'll walk you through the full healing timeline and aftercare at your consultation so there are no surprises.

We apply numbing cream to the area beforehand, so most clients find the treatment itself manageable rather than painful. People describe it more as a series of small hot pinpricks or a stinging sensation. Everyone's pain tolerance is different, and we'll always check in with you throughout the session and adjust where we can.

This varies from person to person and depends on the area and how much correction you're after. Some clients see the change they want from a single session, while others prefer a second treatment further down the track once the skin has fully settled and they can properly judge the result. We'll give you an honest, personalised recommendation at your consultation rather than a generic package.

All three aim to firm and tighten skin, but they work in quite different ways. HIFU and RF skin tightening both work beneath the skin's surface, heating deeper tissue to encourage collagen production without touching the surface itself, which means no visible healing process and no downtime. Plasma fibroblast works at the surface, using a plasma arc to create the resurfacing effect we've described above, which comes with that visible scabbing and flaking as part of how it works. Plasma fibroblast tends to suit finer lines, looser lids, and more defined areas like the jawline, while HIFU and RF suit broader areas of laxity.
